Hal Turner Arrested For His Catholic Call to Arms

Above and beyond free speech?

Hatred and bigotry are two things that our overburdened world can do without. Struggling against nature and economic systems is enough to keep anyone busy. There’s simply no room for that kind of hatred, taken to the level of an insidious Social Darwinism (not a term Darwin would have wanted to be associated with in this instance, I assure you). In terms of evolution, the senseless violence would violate the genetic (moral) imperative for our survival. The human race would spin down into its closing phase. Quick cash, secured loans and the Center For Responsible Lending would live together like peas in a pod.

Is that what you want, Hal Turner?

A call to violence

Internet radio host Hal Turner, who had been accused of “inciting Catholics to take up arms and singling out two Connecticut lawmakers and a state ethics official,” was taken into custody after a warrant was obtained.

Turner, a noted white supremacist and anti-Semite, is the host of an Internet radio show and blog. Perhaps what sealed the warrant deal for him was when his blog published a promise to release the home addresses of Connecticut state Rep. Michael Lawlor, state Sen. Andrew McDonald and Thomas Jones of the State Ethics Office. The dangerous promise was apparently a reaction to a Connecticut bill that would have “changed the way the Roman Catholic Church is governed, taking power away from church officials and turning it over to lay members,” writes Altimari. It was not put up for a vote due to the Catholic outcry, but Hal Turner’s intentions were clear. What do you think this is, man? That you’re The Teacher from “The Da Vinci Code” and your listeners are all a bunch of little Silases? ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Hal Turner Arrested For His Catholic Call to Arms"
