Exactly what Promoted Tweets means for you

Is it possible to describe exactly what promoted tweets mean for most twitter users in 140 characters or less? Promoted tweets will highlight search results, and could be the first step of Twitter into advertising. short term installment loans from venture capitalists can’t support Twitter forever, no matter how negatively promoted tweets might be going over.

Promoted tweets will work on search results

Promoted Tweets will be built to display advertisements more “organically” than Google advertisements. When somebody uses search.twitter.com, contextually relevant results will appear at the top of the search results. For instance, a search for the term “red bull” might show a promoted tweet by Red Bull above current Twitter chatter. At least five companies have already signed up for Promoted Tweets, including Sony, Starbucks, Best Buy, Bravo, and Red Bull.

Promoted Tweets to be rated by users

The basis of Promoted Tweets is that the advertising will count on tweets that would be posted by the companies anyway. The expectation is that Twitter users will retweet, reply or bookmark the promoted Tweets. Tweets that don’t get interaction can be removed from the list of promoted tweets. Debt settlement relief may be in the future for Twitter if the promoted tweets program is successful.

Plans for the growth of Promoted Tweets

Search results won’t be the only place promoted tweets are displayed. If the promoted tweets program is successful, Twitter plans to expand the program. Promoted Tweets can be injected into the timelines of people who already follow that business account. The promoted tweets will also be shown in Twitter apps, including new ones companies are hiring a dedicated programmer to create apps.

The financial reality of Promoted Tweets

Promoted tweets is the first program Twitter will try to monetize the site. Since 2006, Twitter has refused to monetize their very popular service. The head of Twitter, Biz Stone, has said they wanted to create value before revenue. Over $ 57 million has been invested in Twitter, and Promoted Tweets might help the company pay back their investors. If the addition of advertising to other social networks is any indication, users will most likely be fine with advertising supporting their favorite service.
