Brittany Favre makes Brett daddy the first NFL grandfather QB

Brett Favre might not are able to deliver a Super Bowl victory to Minnesota, but Brett Favre’s daughter Brittany Favre has delivered something even more significant: a baby boy. New life is always precious and the birth of Parker Brett adds a new accolade to the Brett Favre career. According to various sources, Bret Favre returning to the 2010 NFL season could make him the first grandfather ever to play within the NFL. The first active NFL grandfather may have been George Blanda but that is disputed.

Brittany Favre is a proud mama, and turns 21 in 2010

Because Brett Favre protects his family's privacy well, the media doesn't actually have Favre's official reaction. Brett Favre’s daughter cedes the limelight to daddy Brett Favre, who made the following statement to the media (See resource below) regarding Brittany Favre and her son Parker Brett:

“Deanna and I are very proud to welcome our grandchild Parker Brett to the Favre family. Parker Brett was born on Friday, April 2, weighing 7 lb. 7 oz., and we’re pleased to say that both (sic) Mom, Dad and Parker Brett are healthy and doing great.”

Congratulations to Brittany Favre and family

Even though Brittany Favre’s father (and Parker’s grandfather) Brett Favre may annoy some fans with his constant retirement talk, there isn't much doubt whether or not the grandfather quarterback can nevertheless play. Some wonder if he would play long enough to be alongside Parker Brett, but that seems nearly impossible. Favre hasn't even decided whether he wants to retire and continue into his own business ventures such as paydayloans,or if he'd rather return to the Minnesota Vikings in 2010. He’ll be 41 years old on October 10, and he’s won more games than any other starting quarterback in NFL history (181). Yet the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder says Brett Favre will likely be back for more (See source below). The publication quotes an unnamed resource as saying “I think he (Favre) ! does not mind trying it again.”

As to whether Brittany Favre can be “trying it again,” she should probably wait until after Parker Brett is out of diapers. But keep in mind, Brett Favre never as a player shied away from adversity. Maybe this will run in the family. whatever Favre's daughter decides, she evidently has a loving family concerned for her.
