Crystal Gale Mangum stabs, burns her way back into spotlight

Here's to all the respectful, upstanding citizens out there

Remember the 2006 Duke Lacrosse scandal? A wild college party got out of hand, and three athletes were accused of rape. A legal circus ensued. Crystal Gale Mangum, the exotic dancer who made the accusation, is black, while the three Duke Lacrosse players in question are white. DA Mike Nifong was disbarred over his handling of the case. Even though it was determined by the court that Mangum's accusation was false, the reputations of the three players have been damaged. They were initially indicted, and after the dust had cleared, they'd been booted out of school! .

Time for a comeback?

Crystal Gale Mangum, 33, is now back in the spotlight – but for all the wrong reasons. The New York Daily News reports that she has been charged with attempting to stab boyfriend Milton Walker, then trying to light his clothing on fire in a bathtub. Thankfully, Walker wasn't wearing them at the time. Same day loans might buy him new threads, but reconstructive surgery is more cost prohibitive.

"I am going to stab you, [expletive]"

I don't know the history between Crystal Gale Mangum and Milton Walker. Honestly, I don't want to know. But I'm sure that it was Mangum's oratory skills that have gotten her to where she is in life. That and her innate creativity: she gave police a fake name and age when they responded to the 911 call.
