ATF and FBI busted a Christian militia group

As reported by the Associated Press, weekend ATF and FBI raids in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio captured eight people who were members of the Hutaree militia, which is a Christian militia. The individuals in question were suspected of plotting to kill members of local law enforcement and then kill other officers at their subsequent funerals, according to federal agents. As a method of preventive maintenance, the weekend raids were carried out.According to the AP, other unaffiliated Christian militia groups like the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia consider the Hutaree militia to be “too extreme.”

What is the Christian militia known as the Hutaree militia about?

The Hutaree militia Christian’s web site, they state that members “are prepared to defend all those who belong to Christ and conserve those who (don’t).” It is still unclear if or not the action prepare against the law enforcement was in related to preparation for the Second Coming or not, but the Hutaree group state they “will one day see (their) enemy and meet him on the battlefield if so God wills it.” Buying weapons for this battle with payday cash advances would definitely be discouraged.

Being charged from attempted use of WMDs to conspiracy

The AP says that “seditious conspiracy, attempted use of weapons of mass destruction (an Improvised Explosive Device, or IED), teaching the use of explosive materials, and possessing a firearm during a crime of violence,” could be charged to the one Indiana resident, six Michigan residents, and the two Ohio residents. On public record are the Department of Justice Press Release and the indictment.

Neighbors believed they were “nice” and didn’t know

It might be much more an indication of what Robert Frost was actually saying when he wrote about how “Good fences make good neighbors” than it speaks of the quality of the character of the various members of the militia group called Hutaree militia. As they see it, the Hutaree militia seems to make the outlandish reading of the Bible a way of coping with the “New World Order,” speaking of lessons from literature.

So what shall this tell us? If we are to follow the word of literature, then perhaps we should take Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” to heart and eat the kids to deal with overpopulation. Swift meant it as a satire since it would be completely nuts. It could be “1984″ is a more fitting model for our modern society. That might be the kind of totalitarian regime that the Hutaree militia and other Christian militia’s would prefer. Would it become a Hutareetocracy if they chose not to lay down their arms? Would, before applying for no faxing payday loans, a chorus of “Onward Christian Soldiers” be required?
