When we calculated the volume, we could only use 4 significant figures because that’s how many we had to begin within our width and length measurements. As it turns out, the cube was slightly deformed; one side was slanted and irregular. This means that the measurements weren’t as accurate as we thought they were. In one instance (the first measurement for width 1), we think someone might have misread the measurement. The reading was 19.8 mm, while all the other quantities were at or near 19 mm. We also reused the value of 19.00 mm four times for width 1. This as an effect on the value we got for the average.
