Gmail interface can be a part of Google Voice program

Within the United States and Canada many would love making free calls. They do not care whether it comes or goes to a cell phone, land line or desktop virtual phone. Phone service providers are against it, but everyone else likes the idea. Making free phone calls is easier for Google users now. It helps a lot to have Gmail and Google Voice being connected. Wherever Gmail is accessible, so is free calling.

Google Voice turns your Gmail contacts into an active phone service

An internet connection is all you have to access Google Voice and make a free phone call, even if you’re someplace cell phone coverage isn’t. Any calls outside the U.S. or Canada do have a rate. The rate is only 2 cents per minute though. The Google Talk plug-in is the only things needed, says Tech Crunch. You can make and receive calls from your Gmail user interface of all places. Voicemails are saved into your Gmail inbox. There is also another really cool thing. Just transfer calls from Google Voice to your cell phone if you’re on the run but want to keep talking.

Coming in the near future is Google Voice in Gmail

Google is rolling out the new Google Voice features over the next few days to U.S.-based Gmail accounts, according to the official Google Voice Blog. Watch for “Call Phone” to show up with your Google Chat list. It will take a little bit longer to get the Google Voice feature to be available to those who use Google Apps for business or academic purposes.
