Why did Dunkin Donuts limit Free Iced Coffee Day 2010?
In some advertising, Free Iced Coffee Day 2010 was a national event. When asked for comment, a spokesperson said that “As part of our 60th birthday celebration, Dunkin' Donuts is offering a variety of regional promotions throughout the year instead of a national Free Iced Coffee Day.”
The true story is a lot more complicated. The business that owns Dunkin Donuts has lost value over the last year. Market positioning is becoming tougher, with stronger competition, and customers tightening their belts.

You may have to spend a couple of cents, but it's less than getting coffee, and it's nevertheless just like Dunkin Donuts iced coffee.
