Then we moved and we didn’t have that luxury anymore. It was nice having a big yard where the kids had lots of room to play in. That way they could make a lot of noise and have their fun and I wouldn’t have to hear it all. Of course, if they ever desperately needed anything I would be able to hear them. It’s funny how that happens. But as a parent, you seem to have this built-in radar that tells you when your children need help. It’s a very strange phenomenon that is probably essential to the fact that anyone ever grows up.
