Today marks a day of change for ‘Good Morning America” and it’s hosts. Diane Sawyer leaves today to replace Charles Gibson on “World News” She will be the second high profile female anchor to take on such a position. Replacing her beginning on Monday, will be George Stephanopoulos. He has been ABC’s chief Washington correspondent since 2005. This will be an interesting pairing with existing host Robin Roberts. I guess time will tell how those two will interact.
Chris Cuomo is also leaving today to co-host the show “20/20“. He is being replaced by Emmy award winner Juju Chang, who will be news anchor for the show. Chang is also part of the “20/20″ newsmagazine, and will continue to contribute reports to that show. Seems like Good Morning America has chosen two great people to fill the shoes of Diane and Chris. I wish both departing members and both joining members much luck.
